What's the PoC HDMIBaseT HDMI Extender, 11 Benefits of PoC HDMIBaseT HDMI Extenders?

Release date:2022-01-25 Source:BeingHD Pageviews:-

With the development of audio visual equipment, PoC HDMIBase HDMI extender has become very popular, but what is PoC HDMIBase HDMI extender?

Power over cable (or Power over coaxial). power supply is a technology based on coaxial video, coaxial control, and power superimposition. Commonly known as PoC, is similar non-standardized technology that accomplishes the same goal of simultaneous power and data over one cable. The voltage supply can be set to meet the requirement of the connected system (lower or higher than voltage range of PoE). Also, PoC will apply power to the line directly without detecting a device at the remote/receiver end.

PoC HDMIBaseT HDMI extender is an AE version HDMI extender which is using the advanced HDMIBaseT technology. It can transmit the HDMI signal, audio embedded/de-embedded, bi-directional IR and RS232 signal over single LAN cable(recommended the STP Cat5e/6/7) up to a long distance and only need to power on one side with the POC function. PoC HDMIBaseT HDMI extender also can can work with other HDMIBaseT equipment, such as Sony HDMIBaseT projector. For the 1080P60Hz resolution, it can transmit to a distance of 70m/220ft(100m/330ft), for 4K30Hz it can up to 35m/110ft(70m/220ft). This extender kit can support the EDID management on the transmitter, compliant with HDMIMI1.4, HDMICP1.4.

Whats the Benefits of PoC HDMIBaseT HDMI extenders

1. Signal Convergence – HDMIBaseT provides A/V, Ethernet, USB, controls and power all over a single Cat5e/6/7 cable, this declutters setups, simplifies installations and reduces costs.

2. Performance – This current generation of HDMIBaseT can deliver up to 4K resolution UHDMI.

3. Bi-directional IR Control – Extend the IR signals both ways, either from Transmitter (source) to Receiver (sink) or Receiver to Transmitter.

4. RS-232 – Having RS-232 allows for control of source devices remotely and gives you the ability to change the source and display device, channels, volume, and more. Having RS-232 allows for two-way communication between the source device and the device being controlled.

5. Affordability – HDMIBaseT gives installers a low-cost infrastructure without losing out on performance. Having HDMIBaseT removes the need for electrical outlets and cables near the RX due to PoC.

6. Versatility – HDMIBaseT is easily adapted across multiple sectors and is widely used.

7. Convenience and Time/Money Saving – Do not need electrical cabling installed, eliminating the need for an electrician to fit network cables. Instead, simply use desired location for the device, install and add to the network via an Ethernet connection, saving time and installation costs.

8. Flexibility - Without needing to next to an electrical outlet, devices such as CCTV or HDMI receiver points can be placed wherever they are needed most, as well as easily re-positioned anytime if required.

9. Safety - Power over Cable usually uses 48V DC, which is classified as a safe voltage by the UL Standards. PoC also has built-in safety features, such as if there is an interruption in the connection, the PSE automatically stops sending power. Meaning if there is damage to a cable, for example fraying, the power is stopped.

10. Reliability - PoC power comes from a central and compatible source, rather than a collection of distributed wall adapters. It can be backed-up by an uninterruptible power supply or controlled to easily disable or reset devices.

11. Scalability - Power available on the network, meaning installation and distribution of network connections is simple and effective.
